This is a positive side to STARIS - can help warn ppl when there's no announcements.
If it had been a C651... where there are no blinking light indicators and STARIS, I do not know what to say.
bye bye head

STARIS and Door Closing LED off , that's a C651.
Yesterday at Jurong East when trains pass by a 3rd rail end when going southbound, orange sparks are created, and smoke can be seen flowing out. Unlikely to be an electrical arc (ok or maybe small flames caused by it), may cause abit of danger?
It is most likely was that the 3rd rail had overcame heat through friction and the electricity heated the portion of the rail until what you sighted.this plobrem was common in the 1990s,when there were very little spare parts then.now, getting an extra part of the 3rd rail should not be a plobrem. And,it is only dangerous if the train's motor is ignited, resulting in a fire in all electrical compartments.
There's a section of tracks between Choa Chu Kang and Bukit gombak where trains are moving slowly Yesterday. Speed increased alittle today, but its still slower than normal.

There was a track fault there yesterday. Think it's due to the switch.
PS: Only northbound side is affected.

Finally.
Today
At around 8.25am, a C151 merely collided with a C751B @ Yishun station (Marina Bay bound). Thanks to the ATC installed at all trains, the C151 didnt colllide with the C751B in front of it, since the C751B was still inside the station, and C151 about to come in. *I was inside the C151 (027/028) and it stopped violently in the middle of the tracks. As i looked outside the window, i was shocked to see that an unidentified C751B was still inside! Every1 onboard the train had the same feeling as mine when i saw that. Lucky there were no accidents. :)

Ooo that always happen during the evening peak hour
When I was at DBG camping in morning peak , frequency was 1-3 mins. At JUR , the frequency is 2-5 mins in morning peak.
213/214 at the 2pm trip , the train used the Westbound tracks (formerly used by CGA to BNL shuttle) from XPO to TNM and the train also stopped between CGA and XPO (TO didn't applied EMG brakes , should be B3).

That's the advantage of ATC.

No apparant faults on 099/100 today, and it is running on EWL.
Got Yis bound train services tonight, but those were all cut short type... Means 235/236 is a YIS trip today, just now at noon its was spotted at JUR, along with some others

i took it ytd with my dad on NSL (from WDL to CCK) and the A/C was like not turned on. I was sweating inside the train.
OT: Today was quite hilarious at jurong east int; i was waiting for 209/210 on NSL to depart to CCK, then at Platform A, 211/212 was spotted arriving. Then guess what.. 231/232 came at platorm B without warning! I never seen 3 C651s at one go b4 haha

Yesterday when I took 099/100 , the A/C was very noisy.
9.36 am in JUR , there were 4 C651s , 2 departing and 2 approaching. 1 from each bound (EB , NB , SB and WB). The trainsets were 207/208, 209/210, 211/212 and 223/224. I will never forget this moment. If 223/224 is 213/214 , then it will be a combo!
