i just came back from bishan.
it seems the circle line train is shorter - only 3 carriages.

Btw I can't click on your proof.
I apologize for the image issue. BTW, you can just go to onemap.sg and zoom in for details.
I knew what u meant, the map on zaobao. I am saying, the only thing correct, is the NSL in the Zaobao interchange with Bras Basah station, because, it via Bras Basah, before reaching City Hall. But I think, if that station was built in the 1980s, then it can compete with the shortest station distance with Clarke Quay - Chinatown.

True what, all lines after NEL, has only 3 carriages, including the future Downtown Line, that via Newton, Little India and Bugis.
Today, the next train always is 4min! Not 6min anymore! (CCL)
But some train departing so long (example: When approaching Stadium, doors opening wait about 3min and the train starts to move...)

Huh who says? 3-car EMUs are for medium capacity lines. There may be future lines for high capacity which may not be planned yet.
videos for the second circle line train will be upload soon. went to paya lebar at 5.30am. history was make...

Due to an event (S.H.E meets fans & media), they could probably held the trains so that these fans can make their way to town and/or wait for the concert tonight.

Look, while your theory holds true, but there are some facts need to consider:
1: Downtown line --- Approx. 40km. Such long line surely got a lot of passengers, especially on Bukit Panjang, the City and Bedok Resevoir (Bedok HDB Town is the most populous town in Singapore) and yet still classified as Medium Capacity?
2: Space constraint -- Seriously, how much space left can they build 1 or 2 more 6 carriages train? I could and would believe and hope that North Shore / Coast line is a 6 carriages train, and hopefully uses Pantograph like C751A does due to a provision tunnel wa built in Punggol MRT station, but, the fact is along the stretch, I cant believe there will be that passengers demand that requires 6 train cars, even if Seletar Airport and Simpang area ever gets developed along with the completion of Punggol 21.

I don't think so...

1. It is still a medium capacity. Pax still can take 190/700/700A to the city. Since when DTL plies Bedok?
2. If you talking about space there's a big difference. You failed to take consideration of residential area proximities, civil structure, max load, whether it's a soft ground or hard ground. Pantograph system is expensive and not reliable. High maintenance cost to change the cables if there's any faults and there will be service delays.

1: Since DTL Stage 3 have to ply between Chinatown to Expo, and interchange with Rochor, MacPherson, Tampines and Expo, it has to via Bedok Resevoir. Dont forget that DTL Stage 3, to be completed in 2016 (Or 2018), is part of the former rectangular loop of Eastern Region Line (Northern sector).
2: Ok, I did not take that into consideration because along North Coast / Shore line (Especially Northen part), have not developed anything yet! For Eastern area, such as Pasir Ris, seemed to me is possible. And why i suggested another Pantograph system such as NEL is because of provisional tunnel in Punggol. Whether that will come true or not, is not I can determine one. And, so far, the cables issue only happened once in Outram Park NEL. Since, all future lines will be fully underground, I dont expect service delays due to cables being struck by thunder and such.

i took 093/094 this morning on NSL and the announcement at DBG wasn't changed.
The shutters of the station was still down when I arrived... When it opened it was still 20 mins away from the 1st train, so I used that time to ask for permission. Of course it was granted. :D
I saw the press at PYL also. I see then run away.
