1st: There are many shortworking trip. This is why the middle platform in PYL is used for.
2nd: Early morning (7am ~ 10am), Evening (4:30pm ~ 8pm) should have such trains. The time are estimation BTW.
currently there is 2 different version of paya lebar interchange. why is that so?
1) the beta version of paya lebar interchange + circle line
SMRT C151 019-020 - Train ride from Eunos to Paya Lebar (Westbound)
2) the circle line version of paya lebar interchange + circle line
[With Paya Lebar Interchange] (Westbound) SMRT C151 025-026 - Train ride from Eunos to Paya Lebar

Not 'many', it's 50% SWTs.
CBD leg is 7 mins.
Not to say SMRT owns themselves, esp evening those Marymount bound SWTs can be miserably empty while those from Suntec are extremely packed.
Still dun get why SMRT intro SWT when no one have any idea w/ the actual demand instead of 'projected' demand.

Halfway approaching Paya Lebar: This train service terminates at this station. Passangers who are continuing their journey towards Dhoby Ghaut Interchange, please proceed to Platform B on the left. Thank you for travelling with SMRT.

Still dont have the attention please, the train at/approaching platform ( ) terminates its service at Paya Lebar nterchange.
Abit same as AMK one but CCL open both side while AMK open left first, close then open right or sometimes when going back depot only open left.

You are right. In the morning while taking CCL to school, I would stop at PYL to see the PYL peak trains. The station manager is the one announcing the terminating thingy. And he announces after a MRM bound train has left, which goes : "Dear Passengers, the train in the middle platform terminates its service at Marymount. Passengers who are going to Serangoon, Bishan or Marymount, plase board this train. **Repeat** "
It is quite amazing that they have built the PYL platform only serving the MRM bound tracks. BTW, this is by LTA, not SMRT. SMRT does not have a choice. But I am quite surprised that LTA predicted quite correctly that there are many people going from PYL to SGN and Bishan (BSN?). If you take the train from early 7+ to before 8, the trip from Bishan till PYL is quite packed, and after that to DKT and SDM, not so packed. But I am not sure about 8+ till 9, maybe it gets more packed...

In a sense it's based on e wrong direction.
It's obvious PM off peak aft Paya Lebar city bound train would be empty le. But wat abt Marymount bound? It's not like buses where MRT can go empty to DBG and do downroute.
As for peak hrs, 7 mins wait is too long until SWT trains depart Paya Lebar to Marymount close to empty while City leg trains are packed.

I do agree actually...........the crossover tracks they should have build between Paya Lebar and Macpherson, and also between Paya Lebar to Dakota.....................so that both side they can turnaround
There's no pt because it's going to mess up e MRT schedule.
But in some sense I'd rather they make it 4 mins peak and add 1 more train than this SWT.
