Most likely so. The refurbished interior shld be quite alike with the C151s. In 1994, when the C651s just got delivered, the interior followed closely with the interior of the C151s then too.

Yup,maybe because the motor sound is very loud and I feel like fainting when I am in C830.C651 annoucement very soft and the motor sound is louder than the annoucement.

I thought SMRT said that all trains on the EWL and NSL are going to have STARIS,maybe they will remove the grabpoles during the refurbishment.

Why are your questions always containing useless contents? Yes, the C651s will definitely be able to support your definition of a "STARIS-bar cross". Installation of STARIS does not intefere with removing of seats and/or mounting of extra metal handles, does it? There's a thread consolidating all questions on MRT/LRT, why don't you post it there?

Actually hope that they wouldn't touch the C651. The interior is fine as it is, especially the air-con system. The refurbished trains have various air-con dead spots all around.
But the C751B announcement louder than the C651
