  I would say no, since smrt3099 and myself did not ride on the MRT tdy. Unless other ppl spotted it, which i doubt.

  What I believe is that 216 and 225 are problematic, thus BSD needs to repair them and in order not to waste 2 trains, they coupled the 2 perfectly-working halves 215 and 226 such that the depot lacks only 1 less train.

  Here's what happened today:

  • I was walking from CCL to NSL at Bishan and saw this:

        Jurong East 3 mins     Jurong East 4 mins

  • 315/316 arrived. The train was packed so my mother and I decided to board the next train (common sense).
  • However as the doors closing bell rang, the STATIS then changed to reflect that the train would terminate at Ang Mo Kio and an announcement was made (the typical 'The train on Platform A terminates its service at Ang Mo Kio'). After a few moments, the doors then closed.
  • 101/102 pulled in within a few seconds after 315/316 departed. It was moderately filled.
  • At Ang Mo Kio all the passengers on 315/316 whose destination was not Ang Mo Kio then boarded 101/102 at the station.

  I can't reason out what was going on.
