Originally posted by ama-teur:Fry, why is it so that for the Praha to Ceske Budejovice leg, no high speed trains are put into service whilst there is apparently a daily InterCity train IC101 running thru and continuing to Linz Hbf?
Usually when there is IC trains, domestic high speed trains will come into effect right?
For the Czech Republic, there are only so many Pendolinos... So they deploy them eastbound to Ostrava via Olomouc, and the other one to Wiener Neustadt/Bratislava via Brno/Wien.
IC101 is a very popular service though... Reservations are compulsory on that leg of the journey. I think that the Ceske Budejovice/Praha to Linz Hbf route should be upgraded... Sick of the R trains(Zug) wif only 2nd class plying that route...
Only train wif 1st class is that IC101, and it is even hard to have a reservation!
