  SMRT buses with the new ceiling display thing....it is not functioning yet? All i see is 'SINGAPORE', which I think is waste of electricity...

  yes, now then they start to work. I still don't think it is very useful though.

  I find it very useful to tourists or singaporean who do not know the bus routes well. This will help them know which bus stop to stop.
  It can also help people sitting at windows with advertisement, as the advertisements prevent them from seeing the place outside.
  People at night also can not see well too, so this will also help.
