Temporary Closure Of Tampines Expressway Between
Tampines Flyover And Punggol Flyover
To facilitate the construction of a pedestrian overhead bridge at Tampines Expressway (TPE) near HDB Blk 136 (Punggol), a stretch of TPE will be closed to traffic in both directions on Thursday, 23 November 2006 and Friday, 24 November 2006 from 1.00am to 5.00am.
Motorists affected by the closure are advised to take the following routes as alternatives.
Traffic along TPE in the direction of CTE/SLE (Route A)
Motorists are advised to exit at TPE Exit 6 and use Tampines Road, Hougang Avenue 7, Hougang Avenue 8, Hougang Avenue 10 and Punggol Road to re-enter TPE.
Traffic along TPE in the direction of PIE (Route B)
Motorists are advised to exit at TPE Exit 9 and use Punggol Road, Hougang Avenue 10, Hougang Avenue 8, Hougang Avenue 7 and Tampines Road to re-enter TPE.
Direction and information signs will be placed way in advance of the road closure to inform and guide motorists of the alternative routes. Road marshals will also be stationed around the road closure area to assist the motorists.
Temporary Road Closures Of Marymount Road (Towards Bishan)
To facilitate launching works for the new Braddell Road/Thomson Road/Lornie Road Flyover Interchange, all three lanes of the north-bound Marymount Road (towards Bishan) will be temporarily closed to traffic from 23 Dec 06 to 29 Dec 06 and 5 Jan 07 to 7 Jan 07, from 12.30 a.m. to 5.30 a.m. daily to enable us to carry out the works safely.
During this time, motorists and road users are advised to use Upper Thomson Road as an alternative route.
In addition, traffic along Braddell Road will be temporarily diverted from 1 Dec 06 to 14 Dec 06, 19 Dec 06 to 22 Dec 06 and 30 Dec 06 to 7 Jan 07, from 12.30am to 5.30am to facilitate the works.
Temporary Realignment Of West Coast Highway
To facilitate the construction of the Circle Line, a stretch of West Coast Highway (between PSA Vista and Pasir Panjang Building), will be temporarily realigned from Sunday, 17 December 2006 at 5.00am, until the second quarter of 2009.
In conjunction with the above works, the road linking Pasir Panjang Road and West Coast Highway, near Haw Par Villa, will be closed until the second quarter of 2009.
Motorists and pedestrians are advised to follow the directional signs on display.
Road closures at Orchard Rd for "Celebrate Christmas in Singapore"
Some stretches of roads in the Orchard Road area will be closed to vehicle traffic from 1pm on Christmas Day till 1am on 26 December 2006.
Police say this is for the "Celebrate Christmas in Singapore" event to be held in the area.
It is also for the safety of participants and to facilitate traffic arrangements.
The areas are: Orchard Road between Scotts Road and Bideford Road and Mount Elizabeth Road towards Orchard Road.
Public bus services affected will be diverted from their original routes and parking restrictions along the peripheral roads would be strictly enforced.
Temporary Road Closure At Central Expressway Tunnel For Maintenance Works
To facilitate the maintenance works at Central Expressway (CTE) tunnels, the following slip roads will be closed to traffic on 29 and 30 December 2006 from 12am to 5am:
- Location: Merchant Road to CTE (AYE)
- Closure Date: 29 Dec 2006 and 30 Dec 2006
- Alternative Route: Use entrance to CTE(AYE) from Outram Road via Clemenceau Ave and Chin Swee Rd
Motorists are advised to drive carefully and follow the directional signs on display.
Temporary Closure Of Stadium Road
To facilitate repair works, the Land Transport Authority will be temporarily closing a stretch of Stadium Road to traffic in one direction from Monday, 8 January to Wednesday, 10 January, between 1am and 5am.
Motorists affected by the road affected by the closure are advised to use the alternative route access to Guillemard Road via Stadium Road, Stadium Drive and Stadium Crescent.
Directional and information signs will be placed in advance of the closure to inform and guide motorists.

To facilitate road works, the slip road at TPE (PIE bound) Exit 5 to Pasir Ris Dr 12 and Tampines Ave 10 will be closed to traffic on Tuesday, 23 January and Wednesday, 24 January from 12am to 5am.
Motorists affected by the closure are advised to take the following alternative route
traffic from TPE (PIE bound) and turn left at Exit 4 into Elias Rd, go straight and turn left at the junction of Elias Road / Pasis Ris Dr 1 towards Pasir Ris Dr 12 and Tampines Ave 10.
Motorists are advised to drive carefully and follow the directional signs on display.

Temporary Closure Of Central Express Way (CTE) Slip Road
To Ang Mo Kio Ave 5 (SLE Bound)
To facilitate road maintenance works, the slip road (Exit 12B) from CTE to Ang Mo Kio Ave 5 (SLE bound) will be closed from Monday, 22 January 2007 to 24 January 2007, from 1am to 5am.
During this time, motorists and road users are advised to use CTE Exit 12A, Ang Mo Kio Ave 3 and Ang Mo Kio Ave 10 as an alternative route.
Motorists are advised to drive carefully and follow the directional signs on display.
Road Closures For Thaipusam Festival 2007
To facilitate the Kavadi Procession as part of the annual celebrations of the Thaipusam festival, there will be a series of road and lane closures from Wednesday, 31 January 2007 to Friday, 2 February 2007.
The extreme right lanes of Serangoon Road, Selegie Road, Prinsep St, Orchard Rd, and Penang Road will be closed to facilitate the procession.
In addition, Petain Rd and Veerasamy Rd would also be closed. One direction of Clemenceau Ave (towards Orchard) and the entire Tank Road to be closed.
The three phases of road closure are as follows:
Phase 1. Petain Road, between Sturdee Rd and Serangoon Rd, closed from 6 pm of 31 Jan 07 (Wed) - 2 am of 2 Feb 07 (Fri).
Phase 2. Tank Road closed from 7 pm of 31 Jan 07 (Wed) – 2 am of 2 Feb 07 (Fri).
Phase 3. Clemenceau Ave, between River Valley Rd and Penang Rd (towards Orchard); and Veerasamy Rd, between Kampong Kapor Rd and Serangoon Rd, closed from 10pm of 31 Jan 07 (Wed) – 2 am of 2 Feb 07 (Fri).
Phase 4. Hastings Road, Campbell Lane, Dunlop Street and Upper Dickson Road (all between Serangoon Road and Clive Street), closed on 1 Feb 07 (Thurs) between 5pm and 8pm.
Road Closures In Conjuction Of 2007 Chinese New Year Celebrations
To facilitate the Chinese New Year celebrations, Eu Tong Sen St (between Outram Rd and Upp Cross St) and New Bridge Rd (between Kreta Ayer Rd and Upp Cross St) will be closed to traffic on 27th January 07 between 3 pm and 11 pm, 17th February 07 between 3 pm and 4 am the next morning and on 4th March 07 between 3 pm and 11 pm.

Closure Of Albert Street And Opening Of New Access Road
Albert Street will be closed from 25 February 2007 and will be converted into a pedestrian mall.
A new two-way access road joining Short Street and Prinsep Street will be opened on the same day. The portion of Short Street between Albert Street and the new access road will be converted to a two-way road.
The Bras Basah/Bugis district is envisaged as the Arts, Culture, Learning and Entertainment hub in the city. It is a vibrant district focused around arts and entertainment where developments are planned around a pedestrian-oriented environment. This new pedestrian mall is an extension to the existing Albert Mall and forms part of the overall pedestrian network in the district.
This portion of Albert Street pedestrian mall is expected to be opened in June 2007.
Temporary Closure Of Slip Road From Eunos Link To Airport Road
To facilitate the removal of temporary traffic decking, the Land Transport Authority will be closing the slip road that connects Eunos Link to Airport Road from Saturday, 14 April 2007 (5 pm) to Monday 16 April 2007 (5 am)
During the temporary closure of the slip road, direction signs will be placed in advance to direct road users. Motorists are advised to drive carefully and to follow the directional signs when making left turn into Airport Road from Eunos Link.
JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge
To facilitate the JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge, which will be held in Singapore on 3 May 2007 from 6pm to 8pm, there will be a series of road closures in the CBD and the Marina Promenade. Road closures will begin at 5.30pm and end progressively till 7.30pm.

Temporary Lane Closure at Pasir Panjang Road
To facilitate the construction of the Circle Line, the middle and right-most lanes of Pasir Panjang Road (between Citilink Warehouse Complex and the Currency House), in the direction of West Coast Highway, are being closed temporarily from Tuesday, 8 May 2007 till Sunday, 13 May 2007 at 6.00am. The middle lane will be opened during peak hours.
In conjunction with the above works, the U-turn/right-turn at the junction of Pasir Panjang Road and Pepys Road is temporarily closed. Motorists are advised to use the next available U-turn/right-turn facility and follow the directional signs on display.
Marina City Park to close from June 1
Marina City Park will close from June 1 so that work can begin on "Gardens by the Bay".
So members of the public can no longer access Marina South Promenade facing the Marina Channel, the playing fields and waterfront promenade.
The National Parks Board (NParks) said it will put up hoardings at both Marina South and Marina East.
Meanwhile, in a month's time, a stretch of Marina Park Road, adjacent to Marina Boulevard and Marina Grove, will also be closed to the public.
Assistant Director of Gardens by the Bay, Dr K Ismail Sudderuddin said, "The public can look forward to the Gardens by the Bay when its first phase opens in 2010. Meanwhile, we urge the public to bear with the temporary inconvenience and encourage them to visit other parks in the vicinity for recreation."
These parks include the East Coast Park, Esplanade Park and Kallang Riverside Park.
Sports enthusiasts can continue to enjoy their favourite games like soccer and other casual team sports at the Singapore Sports Council's five other open fields at Bukit Timah, Tanglin, Farrer Park, St Wilfrid and Geylang.
To minimise inconvenience to the public, signs and maps will be put up at strategic points to advise motorists on alternative routes.
NParks will update the public on the road closures and traffic diversions in due course.
Temporary Lane Closure Along East Coast Parkway (ECP) Towards Changi Airport (After Benjamin Sheares Bridge To Fort Road Exit)
To facilitate road works, lanes along East Coast Parkway (ECP) towards Changi Airport (after Benjamin Sheares Bridge to Fort Road exit) will be temporarily closed from Thursday, 17 May, till Sunday 3 June from 9pm to 6am daily.

To facilitate maintenance works, Rivervale Drive after Rivervale Lane's traffic junction will be temporarily closed on 6 June, 2007, from 1.30am to 4.30am and Punggol Field Road after Edgedale Plains' traffic junction will be temporarily closed on 7 June, 2007, from 1.30am to 4.30am.
During the closure, motorists are advised to use Rivervale Lane and Punggol Central as the alternative routes.
