Heavy rains overnight uprooted a tree on Orange Grove Road, causing traffic congestion near Orchard Hotel.
No one was injured but the fallen tree caused some damage to fashion store FJ Benjamin.
The tree crashed onto the roof porch of the store, shattering the display glass.
Police said they received a call about the fallen tree at about 11.05am on Monday.
It took a few hours before the huge tree was cleared.
