Access to Queen's Road from Bukit Timah Road has been closed after an underground water pipe running under the junction of the two roads burst early Sunday morning.
The Public Utilities Board was alerted to the burst pipe at about 5.30am on Sunday morning, and started reparis to the pipe at 6.45am. Two of the three lanes on Bukit Timah Road between Duke's Road and Queen's Road have also been closed in order for the pipe and the road surface to be fixed.
Four SMRT bus services - 67, 171, 852, & 961C - were diverted on Sunday morning, with the transport operator taking to Twitter to inform passengers of the diversion. But normal service has since resumed.
To access Queen's Road, motorists can use either King's Road or Duke's Road. A PUB spokesman said that repairs are expected to be completed by 7pm on Sunday evening.
