SINGAPORE: A war relic was found at about 12.40pm on Monday at the junction of Lorong 22 Geylang and Guillemard Road.
Police have cordoned the affected area and a Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Explosive (CBRE) team is at the site.
During this period,
Lorong 22 Geylang and Guillemard Road, between Mountbatten Road and
Cassia Crescent, will be closed to traffic.
Traffic Police officers have been deployed to divert and regulate traffic at the affected areas.
Police have advised the public not to be alarmed and to tune in to the radio for the latest update on the traffic situation.

or do they really mean relic like a piece of old knife or gun and need to cordon off the whole area???
the japs really like to put those bombs on the centre side hah

They are still potentially very dangerous.
France and Germany have to deal with this problem of unexploded ordnance from both World Wars.
And some of these old, unexploded ordnance have been known to explode without warning and without any provocation.
