New flyovers to CTE to open on Saturday

SINGAPORE: Flyovers connecting Yishun and Seletar Aerospace Park to the Central Expressway (CTE) will open at 5am on Saturday (Nov 28), the Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced on Tuesday.
Motorists heading towards Yishun or Seletar Aerospace Park from CTE (SLE) can use the new Exit 16. Those travelling in the opposite direction from Yishun and Seletar Aerospace Park can also connect directly to CTE (City) and Yio Chu Kang Road via Seletar West Link.
These new roads will offer an alternative connection to the expressway network to ease the current heavy traffic conditions along Lentor Avenue and Yishun Avenue 2, LTA said.
The works to connect the Seletar West Link from the three expressways, Seletar Aerospace Park and Yishun Town began in 2012.
The stretch of TPE between Seletar Flyover and Seletar Aerospace Flyover and SLE between Seletar Flyover and Lentor Avenue has also been widened. The existing Yio Chu Kang Flyover has also been widened from three to four lanes in both directions.
