Flash flood hits Boon Lay Way
SINGAPORE: A flash flood occurred at a slip road near Boon Lay Way and Corporation Road on Wednesday morning (Jul 13).
National water agency PUB sent out an alert via Twitter at 10.16am, informing road users that the road was not passable to traffic due to the flash floods. It later said at 10.42am that the floods had subsided.
The Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) said in early July that showers due to strong solar heating of land areas were likely to occur in the late morning and early afternoon on four to six days, for the first two weeks this month.
Despite the rain, daily temperatures are expected to reach a high of 35°C for the first half of July, according to MSS.
