Actually, it is a cool idea. There is warmth and the socializing is better at home then say at a restaurants. I mean, that's my personal opinion only lah. Maybe people don't like the cleaning up later. But hubby and I make a great team. So, I guess it is individual or situational lah huh?

Some people do fuss that's why I have a good friend who closed her kitchen and now eats out. I uses the dishwasher.......with or without gathering so all of us can have good time in front of TV.Originally posted by the Bear:and cleaning up is very easy.. i don't understand why people make such a big fuss out of doing the dishes?
You live alone or with parents? Got anyone inspect one or not?Originally posted by the Bear:i handwash the dishes...
no matter how huge the pile, i never took more than 15 minutes
Mine too, but I usually adjust the ingredients to suit my tastebuds after the first attempt. Sometimes I read through a few recipes of the same dish and "mix and match" the ingredients. Doesn't always work out rightOriginally posted by littlestream:I don't have like personal recipes leh. Mine all from books. If not fancy ones, then it's really humble ones leh.
Wah, so good ah. Next time your wife cooks, you do the dishes lah. Good partnership. Goes a long way!!!Originally posted by the Bear:before the folks got a maid, it was one of my chores to do the dishes...
it's easy.. seriously!
and it's dependent on the washing liquid... you gotta get the right kind.. the type that cuts through all the grease, and rinses off easily

And I know which detergent lah. Sunlight, right? Errrr....Sg got Sunlight or not? But Sg water not so hard. The water here is very hard. Skin feels very dry one. Not sure how your time in Melbourne. But here, after each hand wash, sure must apply hand cream. Winter? Lagi worse. A definite Must!
Okay, nite nite miss_soojung and Bear.
Sometimes chores don't get completed when both are doing the cooking and the dishes together in a small space ...Originally posted by the Bear:hmm... GOTTA invite miss soojung when there's potluck
p.s. i'd rather Mrs Bear and i both do the cooking and both do the dishes.. there's something inherently romantic about a couple doing chores together

Dunno how to begin with Kimchi. ThereÂ’re apparently hundreds of different types kimchi! The most popular type of kimchi is the baechu kimchi Â… thatÂ’s the kind we usually see at NTUC, Cold Storage, etc.Originally posted by kopiosatu:i hear so much about kimchi, what is kimchi?
