Chelsea 2 - 0 Portsmouth

  chelsea were lucky to be playing portsmouth yesterday. their confidence and form seems to have dipped. the following are my observations;
  
  SWP needs another leg. he seems to trip whenever he runs. an overpriced and overrated player.
  
  the pitch must be re-layed asap. it is hurting chelsea themselves.
  
  essien is a dirty player.
  
  lampard's passing sucks and needs more zeroing. but he scored a good goal.

  Which is why I was wondering how pple could possibly think Chelsea intentionally left the pitch to deteriorate and make an issue of it. Then again, when it comes to Chelsea, anything they can pick on, they blow the matter out of proportion (tapping, simulation, rough play, you name it!), as if it's never been done in the entire history of footballing
  
  That aside, Chelsea does seem to be somewhat inconsistent lately. John Terry, however, is as reliable as ever.

  It can be frustrating but the unpredictable nature of their inconsistency is what keeps me looking forward to each and every match - will they win big this time or is it going to be one of those "oh crap" games??

  i think portsmouth did very well and could trouble more up front if not for the pitch, they played on the ground more than chelsea.

  heng gudjohnsen came in and changed the game man..
  
  and yes even the pitch is hurting our own play,alot of passes gone astray and the bounce of the ball is hard to predict..
  
  but clinical in finishing except for the damn drogba...

  That is why I said before that we should keep Gudjohnsen.
  
  He is reliable and should be used as a centre forward more often. Cannot understand why Mourinho likes Drogba so much. He reminds me of a certain Singapore player in the 70's.
