  ahhhh... those were the days of Ken Bates and his exotic & flambouyant team...

  some of the old chelsea players i like are:
  Zola, i like him most, good dribble, good free kick, good ball control. "Little italian with great skills"
  Frank Leboeuf, though he's not very famous compared to other defenders, but i just like him. He's experienced in defending. His positioning is good, that makes him always intercept opponents' long pass.
  Desailly, another good french defender.

  My fav player he brought in was brian laudrup, too bad injuries plagued him.

  as much as i despise chelsea nowadays, tis team of players r certainly great individuals n wonderful entertainers.. especially zola..
  
  p.s. i have to deduct points for gullit cos he caused my beloved newcastle to end up in a mess.. lol

  one of my worst memory was the 3-2 loss to the kanu inspired arsenal..
  
  nb went 2-0 up, i rmb flo was the second scorer, can't rmb the first..den came the kanu magic show..
  
  for his hat trick goal, the commentator even shouted, Kan U believe it after rounding ed de goey..
