John Terry For England Captain

  Do you think it will be good for John Terry to be the next England Captain ?
  
  For one, I think he will be the obvious choice but I would hate to see the English press tear his life apart.

  ha ha ha.... I think Peter Shilton had a hard time when he was a captain. Very hard to influence the game form the goal mouth. Must shout really loud to the players especially the forwards.

  It could be a risk. He is a great personality. But I would think, give it to Gerrad first. We cannot deny that both Gerrad and Terry has the pedigree to be captains. But what would swing things to Gerrad's way is that he has prove his captain pedigree in a team which is lacking at times while I would say Terry had a relatively easier (of cos not easy with all the stars) time at Chelsea.
  
  But in the end, if Terry is chosen as the captain, i would still say, a good choice and he deserves it.

  The significance of Beckham handing th captain's armband to JT instead of SG during the world cup shows the high possibility that JT will be the next captain.
  
  The new England manager is the current asst. manager. He may be the reason why JT is ahead of SG in the race for the captaincy.
