Best formation for Chelsea

Looks like Chelsea is having a crisis at the mid-field now. So what do you think is the best formation and line-up Chelsea should adopt?

i think u are looking at the wrong position.
Chelsea must get a right back fast and a striker who can score. (shev is a mistake buy. Not enough time for him to settle down. But hope to see him scoring soon)
Mid field is doing good. (can play strong center or can switch to wing)
Unless you are talking about who will be the best players to field for mid. -

No. 7, No. 8 and No.13 all not performing. The DM is very good.
They are overated/overpay compared to Arsenal young team.
Formation is not a problem but players are. -
essien has been outstanding.. lampard and ballack better start to dominate central midfield more to compensate for their lack of width.

Lampard / Ballack is like get a holding mid field. They get ball, they hold and pass or try to have a 1 2 and shoot.
Not feeding the strikers is right. But i find chelsea formation nv had a plan of feeding the strikers. Thats y shev couldn't score / cannot get used to getting ball himself.
Drogba goals were all by himself.
Chelsea formations are not like manU or ars. Supplying the strikers. Cause everyone in chelsea can score.

we don't really miss duff to be honest......We got robben and kalou to replace him
but duff is certainly better than SWP as SWP loses the ball easily -

i think geremi is doing well as a right back -
Ballack is okay imo. Just that he doesn't get much chance to perform unlike in B. Munich where he is the playmaker, that's why he keep scoring and we see him as a good player. Here at Chelsea, he isn't a playmaker resulting in him not scoring as expected, so people see him as the one deproving the team. That's just my opinion though.Originally posted by ghimpheng:4 - 3 - 3

they played 4-4-2 against newcastle today.
that kns droga is trying to show he is the main player at chelsea.
he should have let robben take the free kick just outside the penalty box. instead he insisted only to shoot wide.

His 4-1-2-2-1 formation served him well in the past 2 seasons. I think he put in too many big stars in the midfield... Put either Essien or Makalele only, then get Robben inside. Once Joe Cole recovers, get him inside too.

Chelsea really needs to play wingers to score. This diamond formation isn't really shining.
