Irish defender, Stephen O'Halloran, is hoping to get a chance at keeping Chelsea's top marksman, Didier Drogba, under control.
O'Halloran, 19, was rotting in the Aston Villa reserves only two months ago but is currently enjoying a successful loan spell at Wycombe Wanderers.
O'Halloran's loan spell is due to end next week but he is hoping that Aston Villa will extend the loan and provide him with the chance to face Chelsea in the semi-final of the Carling Cup in January.
"It's out of my hands whether they keep me on but I'd much rather be here than playing reserve games back in Villa", he told the Irish Daily Star.
"I'd love the chance to mark some of their strikers," he added, referring to Chelsea.
A meeting between Villa's reserve coach, Kevin McDonald and Wycombe manager, Paul Lambert, later this week, will decide the centre-back's immediate future.
