Chelsea captain John Terry is ready to lead a players' meeting with owner Roman Abramovich in a bid to save Jose Mourinho's job.
Terry told the News of the World: "We all agree that we don't want Jose to go and if it takes five or six of the senior players to tell them so, then that's what we're prepared to do.
"Jose is the best in the business, there's no doubt about that, and I'm sure he will be for the next 20 years. That's what we want at Chelsea - the best and only the best. So there is no way we want the best boss around to be walking away.
"We don't want to see top people leaving. Jose Mourinho must stay.
"We are all loyal to Jose. We know what he as done for us as players and for this club as a whole. This situation is putting pressure on everyone at this club."
But Terry added: "I am convinced he will stay. I think he will be here again next season, I really do. �I don't think he will be going anywhere." -

Arjen Robben says manager Jose Mourinho has the full backing of the Chelsea dressing room.
Robben said: "Of course we want him here. We have a great manager and he is a great professional.
"As a group we can only say that we love to have him here.
"The relationship between the group and the manager is fantastic." -
It does appear that it's just a matter of time before JM leaves
Why are the likes of Arnesen & gang deciding who to buy and sell? Chelsea will just sink the way Real Madrid did. You hire the manager to get results, he doesn't get any say in transfer deals but he's to blame when the team's not performing
Any manager worth his salt shouldn't want to coach a team whose owner allows such ridiculous policies. I'm not surprised even the fans are furious.
