Chelsea are in talks with Bournemouth and Plymouth Argyle over partnership arrangements.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho is pushing through a deal for Plymouth fullback Dan Gosling, part of which will include an informal link-up with Ian Holloway's club.
Gosling could return to Home Park for the whole of next season as part of the arrangement - with other promising Chelsea kids also going to Plymouth on-loan.
The Mirror says Mourinho and his backroom team also plan to hook up with Bournemouth to send some of their up-and-coming players to Dean Court on loan spells.
They feel reserve football is of little use in their development.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is determined to trump Premiership rivals for Plymouth Argyle's teenage fullback Dan Gosling.
The Mirror says the versatile 17-year-old, who can play right wing and right back, has been in London this week for training and is due to join the champions after just a handful of first-team games.
Brixham boy Gosling has caught Chelsea's eye since making his debut in December. Mourinho's scouts recommended the deal - but wanted to have a look at him at close quarters.
A deal could be struck which would see Gosling spend the entire next season on-loan with Plymouth.
Chelsea want to be sure that Gosling does not go anywhere else after rival interest from Everton and Manchester City and they could agree a price of up to £2million in installments.
