Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard hailed Chelsea's Petr Cech as the best goalkeeper in the game after his performance last night.
He said: "Pepe Reina made a couple of good saves for us, but their keeper made a world-class save off me. I was running away to celebrate because I thought it was in. I don't think any other keeper in Europe would have got that. He made some top saves.
"There was a bit of frustration we didn't test him a little bit more but Chelsea are very good defensively. It makes them favourites to go through."
Cech will be vital to Chelsea as they seek to defend their lead at Anfield.
Head coach Jose Mourinho described the save from Gerrard as "unbelievable". But Cech's team-mates have grown accustomed to the high standards he achieves.
Frank Lampard said: "It was a great save but it was the sort of save you expect him to make as he is that good." -

Liverpool v Chelsea
Full-back Steve Finnan is set to return after a neck injury as Liverpool bid to overhaul a 1-0 first-leg deficit in the Champions League semi-final.
Reds striker Peter Crouch could also be in line for a starting place.
Midfielder Michael Essien returns for the Blues, but he could be drafted into central defence in place of Carvalho.
Khalid Boulahrouz is another defensive option, while further forward
Chelsea forward Andriy Shevchenko (groin problem) has joined Ricardo Carvalho and Michael Ballack on the injured list but Arjen Robben is fit.
midfielder Ballack has had an ankle operation which will rule him out for at least 10 days.
Didier Drogba and Joe Cole, who scored the only goal in the first leg, will miss a potential final in Athens if they receive a yellow card.
The same fate awaits Javier Mascherano or Jermaine Pennant should they earn a booking.
Mascherano was one of seven players who sat out Liverpool's 2-1 defeat at Portsmouth on Saturday along with Jose Reina, Daniel Agger, Jamie Carragher, Steven Gerrard, Dirk Kuyt and John Arne Riise.
They all look certain to start on Tuesday.

Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt admits they tried to get Chelsea's Didier Drogba booked last week in their Champions League semi first-leg clash.
Kuyt said: "Drogba got a tough time from our defenders in the first leg of the semi-final.
"We knew he was on a yellow card and that if he got another it would cost him his place in the second leg."
Drogba had the last laugh when he laid on the decisive goal for Joe Cole and survived the game without picking up a caution. -

mourihno should take full blame for tinkering with the squad.
he should have fielded a full squad against newcastle to keep their EPL hopes alive.
now they risk finishing the season with only a carling cup.

Liverpool won the game fair and square. No need to blame anyone. Liverpool defended very well. Chelsea sorely missed Shev and Carvalho.

Just because he doesn't show support in your manner doesn't mean he isn't a fan or doesn't support in another way. And I think his reply to you basically sums it up about the kind of football fan you are.
