Trouble is brewing in the Chelsea camp ahead of their FA Cup final date with Manchester United tomorrow.
The Blues board is involved in a contract wrangle with captain John Terry, who is reportedly ready to stun Chelsea hierarchy with a shock transfer request after the final.
Terry is demanding to be paid the same wages as Andriy Shevchenko and Michael Ballack, and is enraged by the club's failure to accede to his request.
He is also disappointed with the way the club's bosses have staunchly defended the two stars, who have largely under-performed this season, reported Daily Express.
"The talk inside the Chelsea dressing room is about how angry john Terry has become over the couple of days because his contract talks have not been resolved," a source revealed.
"It is not just that he believes it is only right to be paid the same as Shevchenko and Ballack, but he and Frank are not impressed by the effort either of those players put in this season."
"I was told that his agent is saying Terry could put in a written transfer request days after the cup final."
