  an exquisite instrumental with an eastern touch for one of the greatest war movie ever made... about a man who refused to break, and went to his death in a POW camp with the greatest of dignity..
  
  and it was reflected in this song... maybe it was good that a Japanese man wrote and performed this.. as it was about a British soldier in the face of the cruelties of a Japanese POW camp...
