The Priest

  I read tis somewhere
  
  Once,there lived a priest in a village.
  One day,the village was flooded and the priest was trapped in the church.
  Soon,the water reached the doorstep of the church.
  A boat came by and the boatman said,'' Father,let me help u. Come onto the boat.''
  The priest replied,''No,i believed in God,God will save me.''
  So,the boat went away.
  The water reaches the roof,and the priest climbed onto the roof.
  A helicopter came by.
  ''Let us help u,''the pilot and passengers called out.
  The priest replied,''No,i believe in God,God will save me.''
  So,the helicopter flew away.
  The water level rose and the priest was soon trapped on the cross.
  Another boat came by.
  ''come let us help u''
  the priest replied,''no,i believe in God,God will save me.''
  So,the boat went away,and the priest drowned in the flood.
  He went to heaven and met God.
  God said,''u turn up early.''
  The priest replied,''I was waiting for u to come and save me.''
  
  There was a moment of silence.
  
  Then God told the priest,''i sent u 2 boats and 1 helicopter,wad more do u wan?!''

  actually its not a joke
  
  i have seen it on many urm what you call them christians stories on some brochures, where the main idea is that god help people in the least expected way

  I remember watching an episode of The West Wing where a pastor told that story to the President when the latter was asking for advice.
