  anyway here's a riddle.
  
  a man was murdered.
  his neighbour was suspect.
  his neighbour's name was John.
  police broke into the one room apartment.
  inside were a mechanic, a doctor, a fireman and a gardener.
  immediately the police arrested the fireman.

  1st possible reason:
  As Cenarious said, all others are female??
  
  2nd possible reason:
  The policeman shout "John! you are under arrest!"(Without knowing who is actually john.)
  John the fireman will start to run. Now the policeman knows who's John.
