There was this pig on a farm who was multi-skilled. He would crow in the morning to awake the farmer. He could catch mice. He could herd sheep like a well-trained sheep dog. The other animals on the farm could not understand why Piggy was such a busy body, doing others' jobs. Piggy proudly said that in this society, it pays to be multi-skilled, and that his multi-skills would one day receive recognition.
However, the next day the farmer caught hold of piggy and wanted to slaughter him. Piggy pleaded and asked why he had to be slaughtered since he is so skill-ful. The farmer replied that he wanted to have pork-chop for dinner and that's piggy's purpose of existence.
Moral of the story : The boss views your efficiency according to what U SHOULD DO & not what U CAN DO. So much for "recognition".
