  Those who are training, are training. Those who are not, are here arguing. I'm willing to put money on the fact that 90% of the people arguing in this thread have close to zero real fighting ability.

  Take everything with a pinch of salt. Darren and his students are training hard everyday for the KOTC in November - no time for stupid arguments on forums. I believe the same applies for the students of Kon and Jason.

  So if i hadn't said I was training with Contact Kinetics, then you would have been refering to me. Don't you think that sounds a little silly.

  I stand by the assumption. You just happen to be one of those who probably actually trains. You or someone else would have fallen into this category (those are train), you just happened to mention it. Only you yourself will know whether you have put in the time - 18 months is a very short time (everyday, once a week, once in two months, etc?), I'm just giving you the benefit of the doubt. You could very well be the sh itz, or utter sh it. Behind a computer screen, only you will know.
  
  The quality of the content depends on the quality of the writer's experience. If the people in the thread are all armchair critics, then the quality of the thread is sh it, which is what I'm saying.
  
  So... unless we get to see a video of NoRiceBoy glocking AlbinoGorilla, this thread is worthless.

  Again for the record I don't know any of these people and just want to point out the discrepencies in your posts. You talk of this competition that competition but you can't even name where the competition was held, what the date was, how many schools take part, the results etc.

  I have hear different stories so I guess instead of attacking the instructors. I believe there are personal hidden agendas here.
  
  To be fair, here's my suggestions:
  
  Can someone share the background of the purple belt and Darren?
  
  I am sure if they are teaching BJJ, their background can easily be traced.
  
  So where did Darren or the purple belt trained? What's Darren's belt?
  
  This way, we can see more clearly.
  
  And those how mocked at the instructors, have you challanged them personally since you can say until they are so bad? If not, it shows a lot of empty talks and anyone sensible will know your words cannot be trusted.
  
  I look forward to constructive contribution of the missing informations so we all can have a fairer and more objective discussion instead of some childish bashing without any proof.

  Point, let me point out to you the backgrounds of the different players:
  
  Kon = BJJ/MMA background from Straightblast Gym, the same gym as Forrest Griffin and Rory Singer trains out of. The best MMA crendentials of the lot.
  
  Jason = Ayoung but experienced Machado BBJ beltholder with background from Australia
  
  Chris DeWet = Extremely tough fullcontact kyokushin fighter with tons of competition experience. His experience alone will make him a great trainer in any sport.
  
  Darren = books, DVDs and a bit of boxing.
  
  Now, who is the odd man out???
  
  Now who NEVER COMPETES in Singapore grappling championships? (clue: Kon, Jason and Chris has competed extensively and Jason and Chris has won their weight divisions in grappling tournaments in SG)
  
  Now who is the real FRAUD???
