Still, I don't think Science can explain it fully. It's probably something that never exists, but cultivated.
Maybe next time when I become a research Scientist, then'll probably I'll find an explaination to all these unexplained mysteries..Originally posted by gigabyte14:well there are certainly some things that science can't explain
the human body can do the impossible too
so the title's called northern shaolin sword?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Not that I know of.
But there's a book in the libraries about Northern Shaolin Sword, which teaches the breathing. Qigong is basically about breathing correctly, so just get that book, know how to breathe properly...
Yup.Originally posted by gigabyte14:so the title's called northern shaolin sword?

The answer is already there. Look back one post.Originally posted by NoRiceBoys:I'm just being sarcastic. (and funny enough some people actually think it's true!)
How come never go and fight at the Sanda fight today? I never see any "chi kung" being demonstrated in the ring leh. Also never see anyone flying across the ring or get electric shock.
What I see are muay thai guys fighting under muay thai workshop when they're actually from other gym, darren de silva's guys fighting under Chi studio (isn't that a yoga and wushu place) but i never see all those people with superpower take part leh. Why ha?
Ermm... if someone is to use Xingyi and fight, it will injure his/her opponent with just one punch. And the way Muay Thai rules are, I tell you, one punch can settle them. We've actually tried that (not with Muay Thai guys, but just fooling around only).Originally posted by NoRiceBoys:I'm just being sarcastic. (and funny enough some people actually think it's true!)

You block the blood vessel with a clot mah....duh.... Mayi jie jie never learn bio one huh?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:I don't want to touch blood.
Really? One punch can KO? One punch can "settle" a muay thai guy?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Ermm... if someone is to use Xingyi and fight, it will injure his/her opponent with just one punch. As for qigong... it's not something easily demonstrated. Electric shocks only happens during practice, and it doesn't happen to all people. It only happens to the practitioner himself.

Is the guy just standing there for you to hit or is it a real fight where he can hit back?
If I put up $5000 and offer to fight you under any rules you want and I'm willing to sign an indemity dissolving you of all responsibility for hurting, miaming or killing me, and you put up whatever amount you deem fit, will you be willing to do it?
Really. Provided that they don't kicks... qigong works best when the distance between an opponent is very short.Originally posted by NoRiceBoys:Really? One punch can KO? One punch can "settle" a muay thai guy?

No learn Bio...Originally posted by Herzog_Zwei:You block the blood vessel with a clot mah....duh.... Mayi jie jie never learn bio one huh?
Have you actually tried this in a real fight against a real muay thai fighter, or is this just theory that you heard from someone else?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Really. Provided that they don't kicks... qigong works best when the distance between an opponent is very short.
Nobody will stand there for you to hit... it's one of the rules that allowed us to easily defeat them... they have a habit of grabbing people by the neck, pull them close and using their knees to hit us... so before they strike, we strike first.
As I said, internal energy works best at close distance, that one is near enough to deliver a fatal punch if the practitioner chooses to.

In karate demonstrations, they can kick baseball bat, blocks of ice, break tiles and bricks and even ice blocks with their bare hands and shins. But they do not claim to be able to kill people with one punch.Originally posted by Skibi:Under Singapore Law any indemity to dissolve responsiblity for hurt/death is invalid. If you want to test "qigong" the proper way is to test in the following order.
Wood, Bricks, Metal.
Once you learn to demolish wood easily then move on to bricks and finally to metal etc... but most ppl stop at bricks. Personally I think the wood stage is enough to do some pretty serious damage in a fist-fight. Bricks stage can kill a person easily by accident. Metal is for those Xiaolin Monks.

Yet in their tournaments I don't see a single person being killed by one punch leh. Why har?

Not allowed to use internal energy? ROTFLMAO!!! And how do you make sure of that, do you have a "chi meter" that goes beep beep when they do? LOL!Originally posted by Skibi:There are many different kinds of tournaments, but i think the one you are refering to is the technique tournament. I think to rank up in karate at higher levels you are required to chop things? Rank up is not equal to tournament.
