  worms other than blaster or sasser may cause "NT authority" shutdown... cos other viruses can copy the shutdown code.

  It's lurking in the registry.
  
  Run a third party reg-check/fix or spyware scan software and you might find something.

  sounds like sasser..go run type cmd and duno what to prevent auto shutdown..
  den go into safemode and delete after running the removal tool..

  shud be like me i got Avant firefox and IE...i also got the surfin web feature of Bitcomet and Ares ...but seriously Firefox works the best for me

  Windows XP was built with the simplicity of Windows 98 in mind (Which they didn't work out well obviously) and on the engine of windows NT/2000
