Internet problem

Strange. Check your router's manual. From what I know, router's control panel does not have this kind of setting whereby only one computer can access the net at any time, since it defeats the purpose of having a router.Originally posted by CyanSupra:singnet 512k

Let's say I on my com 1st , den ard few mins later , when my bro on his com , his can't gain internet access whereby me still in the connection thru net
Look for a small button at the back of router which says Reset. It'll reset all your router's settings to default. If it still cannot work, the router has a problem. Contact its manufacturer. If it has been acting like that since you bought it, even more likely it has a defect. -
hey guys gd news.I go safe mode use registry mechanic and AVG and now the prob appears to be fixed...can access all my windows applications liao.But i still a bit scared bout my internet...but so far so gd...surfin for the past 15-20 mins
wil confirm if my prob is solved tomorrow...and jus a qn...worst case scenarion if i 4mat and reinstall my OS on a partiton will my data be wiped out from the other partitions?Thx

If so, it will wipe out your data in that partition. The other partitions will not be affected (like E and F, if you have a lot of partitions)
If you are just reformatting, it won't wiped out data from the other partitions. If reinstalling, will wipe out data from the other partitions. -
so as long as i install my OS on 1 particular partiton my other partitions wont be affected la?

Ok guys my problem is solved.yay...!that's wad i did:
1st i boot in to safe mode
then i ran AVG
after AVG scan for viruses i run zone alarm to double-check
finally i ran registry mechanic to clear any corrupted registry values
and run msconfig, and uncheck any malicious and suspicious services and start-up programs in msconfig
reboot again and the prob is solved -

the prescence of them and the virus corrupted my registry too

No wonder. You install programs using the infected setup.exe sure registry corrupted. -
