need help wif imac..

how come when i put the CD in the thing.. it ejects the CD out automatically.. erm.. an empty CD lah as i wan burn something.. i'm using toast 6 titanium program as the CD writer.. imac version is 10.4.3

Ejecting automatically? What about when the Toast application is closed? Immediately after you put in the disc or will it try to read?
Sometimes the way you slot in the disc may cause it to eject it out. My disc drive is slot-loaded type as well. If I slot my disc in too slowly, it ejects out. You need to insert it fast enough -

Time to call up the Apple helplines. The old iMacs with slot loading disc drives have an eject button at the right hand corner of the slot to eject the disc manually.
