Hey guys n gals. need yr expert help fast!
I did the friggin windows update on a whim n when my comp rebooted i think a virus latched onto it.
A small pop up ballon notice will appear from the toll bar below with a note tts goes

its a spyware....
run a spyware check....
mcafee and norton antivirus only catch virus and not spyware -

What is the program they recommend you to install?
What is the website that they will bring you to when you open up IE? -
adware/spyware/virus... better ask your friend copy a adaware/spybod/norton antivirus for u then u install from your pc...
and dont click on the link to the program of the popup... -

my fren's pc also have this....he using IE explorer too...one day i visit him for project and then click the IE then suddenly got all those pop-up with similiar symtoms like urs....so i downloaded ad-aware and removed em.....

uninstall it once u finish doing a full scan...spyware tend to grow immune to anti spyware after some time -

It is a trojan + spyware. Does your antivirus scan say anything?

If it is not, I think you have downloaded this toolbar

I am suspecting that this is a virus + spyware. It is a combination that really wreck havoc. It has been reported on some websites. I am not quite sure of the virus name either. Only a few hundred users has gotten it. Not sure about the situation in Singapore though.Originally posted by coolger03:
