Hypersnap DX Pro

  Hi, got a problem regarding to imaging here.
  
  I love using a image capturing software known as Hypersnap DX Pro, the version i'm using is an old version 3.55.00.
  
  what this software does is enable me to capture screenshots, the useful part is it enables me to capture any portion of the pictures, so that i can leave out the unwanted portion and capture only the parts i want. it also helps me to resize to any resolution i want. in short i love this software very much.
  
  but what i found out recently is that whenever i save the pic as a jpeg using this software, the pic quality will become affected. refer to pic below.
  
  the pic on the left is the original pic, on the right is the pic i saved using Hypersnap DX Pro. so as u can see, the quality of the pic of the right is terrible, particularly noticeable at her thighs.
  
  
  
  in the past, i never have this problem at all, all the pics i saved as jpeg using Hypersnap DX Pro are of the same quality as the original pics. i don't understand why the quality suffers now?
  
  i tried before newer version of Hypersnap DX Pro but it is still not as good and easy to use as this old version. so was wondering if any expert good in this area can help me. thanks.

  Boths pics have poor colour quality... I can't really tell the difference, just a little difference in the brightness?

  The picture on the right is of a lower quality. Most images in jpeg will deteriorate. Keep them in bmp format if you want to retain their quality.
  
  I believe that Photoshop CS 2 has all of the above functions that you mentioned.

  thanks guys for all your answers. i did a check with my windows setting and found out that the colour was set to 16 bit colours without my knowledge. i set it back to 32bits and everything is fie now. thanks.
