Clicking sound

hi all, sorry to trouble u all again but i got a fault.
today i just found out that my computer don't have those 'clicking sound' anymore. the sound that u hear when u open a folder, click 'back' or 'forward' etc.
any ideas how do i restore it back? thanks. -

think you forgot to switch on the volume.

If your computer does not give out any sound at all (not even MP3 etc) must be something with muting, audio device driver, speaker connection.
If it is only the clicking sound, go to Sound settings and click the "Sound" tab and look for Windows Explorer subheading, and item "Start Navigation". -

Try this. Open Control Panel. Go to Sound/Audio Devices. Select the Sound tab. Under Sound Scheme, choose Windows Default. Apply the settings. Try clicking the back or forward.Originally posted by Gordonator:hi all, sorry to trouble u all again but i got a fault.

If don't have, restart computer to see if it works. If it works, then ok already. -

ok guys i got it solved. i followed launtpc's advise and insert the sound for "Start Navigation" and "End Navigation". it's back to normal now. thank you all for your help.

how come ppl like to have all these sounds?
i off everything
no windows startup music
no error beeps
except for the gmail notifier that i can't turn it off......

i open a lot of internet browser when i'm online, so a simple 'click' sound will tell me that the page is being loaded/completed etc.Originally posted by FireIce:how come ppl like to have all these sounds?

i want to REMOVE that clicking sound!
