please try other manufacturers like promise, 3ware or super micro PCi sata if they have this product range in their catalog. Adaptec used to be okay with their customer service but their product always a bit higher in price due to manufacturing plant local in Sg. but now Adaptec outsource the manufacturing to SSCI and SSCI is not as dedicated and knowledgeable in PCI and raid computing tech as compared to ADaptec.
somemore now with the transition i am sure their RMA proceess very c cokup one...if u want Adaptec better sit and wait until their manufacturing and supply chain stabilize over at SSCI
