how to zip up a big file into 2 seperate winrar files?

  i got a 1.6gb file that i need to zip it up to burn into cd. but i cant burn 1.6gb into a cd Zzz. so got anyway to burn a 1.6gb file?

  when you archive, under the new windows poping up,there's a 'split to volumes, bytes' option...jsu select hiow many u wana split into lo

  What drive you got? CD/DVD Combo? DVD writer?
  
  If CD/DVD combo, then cannot burn DVD.
  
  If got DVD writer, just buy DVD and burn.
  
  If you got 2GB thumbdrive, just copy everything there.
  
  If you got iPod, copy to iPod. My classmates do that.

  dvd rom is dvd readable
  dvd RW then is dvd burnable

  DVD-RW is rewritable, means that it can overwrite the existing data on a DVD+RW or DVD-RW over and over again

  CD/DVD combo drive only lets you burn and readCD; read DVD. That's why you can't burn DVD.

  If it is avi file, u can use virtualdub to slice it into 2 or more
