LOL!!! Thumbdrive=iPod???

  I wanna transfer some files over to my lappy from my thumbdrive. When I slot in my thumbdrive, this appears on iTunes
  
  
  
  I was like, WTF??? Since when did I have a 512mb iPod? LOL the size of the thumbdrive is shown as well. At the bottom.
  
  I then skip through those steps. True enough, my thumbdrive is really shown as an iPod at the sidebar of iTunes...
  
  
  
  I can even copy songs into my thumbdrive like copying into an iPod. To confirm that the songs really entered my thumbdrive, I went to check the hidden folders...
  
  
  
  Yup the 2 songs entered... I'm using the latest version of iTunes

  Seriously, I don't know how this can happen. I am using iTunes as well, but it doesn't have this kind of results. Your case is extreme.

  It is inherent that the itunes app runs on the svchost service on the windows OS that detects some removable storage devices running on usb ports, so its really no surprise, except for some.
