Questions about Wireless Networking

I have 2 computers at home.. I intend to link up 2 of them using a wireless G router. one of them which is a Dell com have SP2 installed while the other Acer one have only XP installed w/o Sp2.. I saw an article from microsoft website tat if my com supports wireless network, I don need a wireless USB adapter. Is this true? den wad about my Acer and Dell com? I confirm my Acer one do not support wireless network.. so probably need to buy a USB adapter.. but for my Dell one, i not sure leh.. anyone knows if how can i check if my com supports wireless network?

You still need hardware to send and receive those packets.

for my acer one, using P4 1.8ghz, for the dell one, is P4 2.8ghz with HT

So tat means even though my Acer one dont have SP2 installed, also can use wireless networking is it? Actually, I intend to connect my router to my ADSl modem and den to my Acer computer.. the dell one, i intend to use wireless USB adapter.. can this idea work?
