How to type and read chinese words on forums?

now i can see it too but need to encode to chinese. otherwise, i see weird language before that.
I type by using the xp chinese language system. -

i always have prob using chinese software using win xp.
i know how to use richtext, njstar all that.. but juz cannot use win xp leh.
i followed ur instructions, but when i tried to type in ms word, it auto changed to English US from Chinese PRC in a second. Hence, I can't type chinese word at all.
how ar? -

Make sure that Install files for East Asian Languages is checked. Then click on Details. Click on Add. Under Input Language, find Chinese (PRC). Click OK. Then click Language Bar. Check the Show the Language Bar on the Desktop. Click OK and you can use Chinese words.

For Internet Explorer:
Right click, Encoding, More, Chinese Simplified (GB2312)
For Mozilla Firefox:
View, Character Encoding, More Encodings, East Asian, Chinese Simplified (GB2312)
