Singnet Users: any intrusion attempts?

  I would suggest you check your voice micro filter. Is your place/neighbourhood under heavy renovation/construction? Does your phone line have a noisy background when disconnection occurs? Note down any observation. They can be helpful when Singnet/Singtel staffs came checking on your telephone line.

  micro filter doing fine, but i dun get disconnections. its the intrusions attempts that is happening every 5 secs that is bugging me.
  
  my blk is undergoing renovation with a new lift coming up. but it doesn't affect my connection at all. doing fine all right with my connections.
  
  called the desk up, and the staff was rather indifferent. i told him why is my computer under intrusion attacks every 5 secs from a singnet ip and he was like "huh, its still under investigation, sorry for any inconvience caused, we will get back to you shortly"
  
  think weekends the techies dun work. tat's why till now every 5 secs or so i will get the intrusion attempts.

  and its not a single attack at me actually. i believe some users are actually having their firewall blocking all these attacks also.
  
  and even if its aimed at me, the intruder would have given up cos its like 3 days already...

  I would say these kind of attacks is trying to break down the firewall. It's long and tedious, but it can happen if it goes on for enough days. Now it's every five seconds one attack. Eventually, if he gets bored and up the frequency, it will be like a DoS attack, firewall kind.

  i hope so. will off my comp once in awhile. hope singnet can do something about it.
