What exactly is DivX?

  how come without it, some clips cannot play in window media player?
  
  wif the advancement of technology, even a better dvd player has tis format.
  
  ... by the way, where is the link to download DivX? last time my laptop got but kena reformat liao... feel a need to watch naruto.

  strange... how come cannot play on win media or win amp?
  
  n open the DivX player will prompt error message? or some file need to drag to winmedia program? help~!

  DivX is a video codec standard/format.
  
  u can either install the codec in Windows Media Player (still have not figured out how to) or use the standalone DivX video player.
