Internet kept disconnecting....

Hi guys, after upgrading my internet service from 512 kbps to 3500 kbps, my internet kept disconnecting by itself every few minutes. Do anyone know what's the problem is? Is it the microfilter i used are not suitable for high speed? Can someone advise me? Thanks in advance

You're breaking the speed limit thats why.

check if ur connections are all proper

configuration to modem is correct... pc i did not make any configuration... do i need to make any pc or ie configuration?

If your hdd can only go 5400rpm, don't make it go more than 7200rpm.

ur modem to phone line..ur phone line..any disconnections?

phone line is ok, perfect.... I am able to connect to internet too but problem is internet connection is frequently cut off...

yes, anytime of the day... The longest duration without disconnecting is one hour.

wad's the modem u are using? might be yur modem fault.. if u suspect is microfilter fault, try calling and pick up using the phone which is plugged into the microfilter... if straightaway disconnected, means the microfilter's fault..

But in the past, when I was using 512kbps, everything is fine so line should not be the problem...

if u haven't meddled with any network settings, instead of doing this urself, why dun just call starhub and get their service guy to come down and settle the problem.
if u try to settle this urself, not only more of ur time will be wasted, u also have to take unnecessary responsibility for any damage to equipment
