Internet banking question

  See something that says "Click to activate this control" ?
  
  I tried the same website on Firefox and IE. Only IE ask me to to activate. I don't know if this is ok.
  
  I have asked my cousin who is working in a bank, she says there's no such thing to click.
  
  I am very sure that this isn't a phished website, I went in through this link:
  
  http://www.dbs.com.sg/ --> DBS's main website
  
  Then I clicked on iBanking on the left column.

  It's the ActiveX controls that help to secure your IP address to the server in DBS.

  Always, always make sure that there's a sign of a lock in IE.
  
  In firefox, the address bar will light up when on a secured site.

  Yep! Think it's one of the Win XP patch updates and ActiveX control that me done in February, and ever since me have always see this on screen not only on DBS website but others also.

  For security reasons, names and password for banks' website and email login sites are always sent through secured http.

  I did write a post on the IE update, but I didn't expect them to use ActiveX just to secure our IP address to the server. But why Firefox and other browsers aren't affected by the same thing? By default, none of them would run until we give permission.

  Because most people still design websites based on IE browsers. Guess how much trouble shooting Jason had to script sgforums to so FF users didn't have alignment problems.
