Since you stated the age of your LCD, it could be due to the age of your LCD. Most LCDs don't last for more than 3 years, so it could be dying on you.
Try your LCD on other computers first. If it gives the same results, it's most likely the monitor. If there's no problem, it could be due to your computer specs or graphics card is on the way to the dustbin (means going to spoil).
