shutdown restart?

  hey people, this is what happen just now, i went to remove oe of my ddr chip cause my motherboard cannot detect and after it manage to detect my ddr chip, my com keep shutdown every hour or so, what the cause of this or how i aviod this problem?

  Could be connection problems. Try re-connecting the ddr chip or connect to another slot.
  
  Does it happen every hour or so? as in after a specific period of using?

  no from what my friend said, should be hardware problem. what i intend to do is remove my ddr chip and yes before they shutdown it will show a blue screen with tons of word. i assume should be overload.

  alright, you may have a RAM clash, which means that you are using 2 different kinds of ram which arent compatible with each other. or more likely, one of the gold connectors on your CPU has melted to a point that there is very little contact between it and once your cpu reaches a certain temperature, it would melt and disconnect from each other, but would reconnect after awhile. this may explain why the computer is shutting down after a stipulated period. hope this helps

  no both ram come together, one is 256MB another one is 512MB, i slove the case by removing 256MB ram, the 256MB ram have been giving problem, going to change to 512 soon, anybody know how much it cost?

  Note down the error when it gives you the blue screen, it would help a lot in troubleshooting.

  well, what i guess is that my ddr not stable.

  As what mayi have said, note down the codes, with the capitalised words as well. Don't need to copy down the 2 or 3 paragraphs about "if this is the first time you encountered this screen blah blah"
