Should I get this laptop ?

  I'm currently using Acer Aspire 1700 (Desktop Replacement) with the following specification:
  
  17" SXGA TFT LCD
  Intel Pentium 4 2.6 GHz
  768MB DDR-SDRAM
  64MB Shared Memory Graphic
  80GB 5400rpm Ultra ATA/100 HDD
  DVD/CD-RW Drive
  7 KG
  
  Basically my uses for my computer is to
  
  1) Video Editing w/ ULead Video Studio 6 & Windows Movie Maker
  2) Photo Editing w/ Photo Shop & Arsoft Photo Studio 5
  3) Watching of DVD w/ WinDVD
  4) Surfing of Forums / Blogs
  5) Microsoft Office - Mainly Powerpoint & Words
  6) Light Online Games such as Maple Story & Gunbound
  7) Command & Conquer

  I'm looking for a new system because I think I might want to carry it around with me as I'm starting a partnership with my friend in T-Shirt Designs, Customised Printing on Mugs, Caps. My system is also slow when I edit my video, thus cannot run other programmes while editing it.
  
  The new Laptop that I'm interested is Acer Travelmate 3280 with the following Specification:
  
  14.1” WXGA colour TFT LCD
  Intel® Core™ Duo processor T2300 (1.66GHz, 667 MHz FSB, 2 MB L2 cache)
  512MB DDR II RAM
  ATI Mobility™ Radeon® X1400 with up to 256MB of HyperMemory™
  80GB S-ATA HDD
  DVD Super Multi Double Layer Drive
  2.35KG w/ Battery
  
  The price is $2,298 now. I'm getting it from Harvey Norman because I'll need to pay in 24 months installment. Would like to know if is there other brand with similar or better specification but lower cost.

  Just get it lar, 1/4 of us here will tell you it sucks, 1/4 will tell you got better elsewhere, 1/4 will tell you its the best buy of the century, the rest of us like me couldn't give a flying fcuk.

  Acer Travelmate 3280 seems good, but you'll definitely have to upgrade the ram till at least 1GB DDRII for video editing

  It is, since you are editing videos alongside with antivirus softwares, firewall and windows

  Alright. But the rest of the laptop specification and stuffs are alright ? Cause I'm not so experienced in buying laptop.

  Yea everything is nice, but you will have to get use to the processor speed though. From 2.6GHz to 1.66GHz... I'm not sure how much the processor being dual-core will be able to make up for its speed

  My friend who's familar with laptop says the 667FSB will make it to be similar speed to that of a 3.0GHz but I'm not sure is it true. Can anyone confirm for me?

  667FSB will improve the performance, but how much it'll improve I have no idea though. Any hardware pros here?

  Add ram might involve changing the mobo, and changing the mobo would mean you have to look at another model.

  This laptop can support up to a 4GB RAM thru 2 X 2GB RAM.
