question about AGP

  what happens when u plug in a 8XAGP graphics card into a 4XAGP slot?
  
  cant run at all?
  
  or
  
  still can work but not fully optimized?

  Workable, but not optimized. Because the maximum speed is 4X.

  seems like hard to find 4X cards nowadays ....no choice my MB is quite old liao
