I understand that some laptops can cut off the power automatically if its 100% charged....juz wanna know if this laptop have this capability..
And BTW i will be using this laptop to play game lol...is it able to support battlefield 2?lol And i currently uses TRAVELmate 290 lah and i on it for more than 5 hrs continueously everyday and got no problem and its not very hot either....heard that 3282wxmi will be very hot when on for very long time maybe its because of the dedicated graphic card...juz wanna know if i can on this laptop for more than 5 hrs also everyday juz to play game and surf net lol.....
Thanks for replys btw....greatly appreciated...

welcome to np...

your battery won't be overcharge la...you think got 120% mehz?

but i guess it will automatically use the adaptor's power...HOWEVER...it is advisable to remove the battery if you using it for long hours after charging..because the battery can and will lose its battery life if you "overcharge" it...
i took at look at the 3280 model...here's wat it says...
"With Acer ePowerManagement, the TravelMate 3280 utilize the most efficient power mode for the job at hand, conserving battery life and extending productivity."
thats the power management you have i guess...
for your second question..you must understand your comp has its limitations...if you wanna play battlefield 2...better start praying that it does not shut down by itself and produce a burning...my fren's acer laptop played dota and it shut down and had this burning smell coming out...imagine battlefield 2...

if u wanna play simple games..like those less demanding in graphics..i suppose its not a problem...but try to get it cool...a external fan or a air-con room will help...5 hours is not a problem la...
your laptop is different from those on the market as it has been specifically designed to be economical and for student usage...plus the schools don't want you to be spending time playing games...so you have to understand the limitations...
