Hibernation

This problem suddenly occur to my pc since yesterday nite...
I was reading through sgforums and listening to songs on my media player when suddenly it pop up a message that says that if i put my pc to hibernation mode, it will stop playback..
but the problem is that i did not even set the pc to hibernation mode!
and this pop up message will appear when I am using media player. If I did not use my media player, it will just automatically hibernate for me..
Today my friend reformat my pc for me and initially I thought the problem would be solved but unfortunately, it did not....
I set the power setting in control panel to disable hibernation but to no avail..
to add on, the pop-up or hibernation occurs at random...there's no way that i can predict when it is going to hibernate..
anyone encounter this problem before? -

but after reformatting the pc, the problem still remains...
and to stress on this point: I did not set the pc to hibernation mode...it just hibernate by itself -

Try this:
Right click on your desktop. Select Properties. Click on the screensaver tab.
Under Power Schemes, select Always On. -

You can't have both at the same time. You disable it, it won't hibernate. it has always been at the default settings since i first bought this pc and this problem only first occur yesterday -
go to control panal->power options-> and set everything u see as hibernation to never or no hibernation...
it could be because your pc was too hot and the hibernation machanism could have been triggered... -

look at BIOS and startup...it might have trigger the hibernation somewhere...

how long you bought your comp?

so far there's been no problem until this hibernating problem yesterday -
my fren say that it may be the power supply problem
cos his fren last time oso encounter something like mine...except tat it would restart by itself rather than hibernate
therefore he say he will try to change the power supply for me...hopefully it would be ok after tat -
Not enough power might not even start, though this might a possibility.
